5/1/10 1 polyp removed in 1st colonoscopy (everything seemed fine, but my grandfather died of rectal cancer)
9/13/16 dx: Lower Rectal Adenocarcinoma, found in my 2nd colonoscopy
10/6/16 1 Met in liver found by CT scan: Stage IV cancer dx
10/20/16 further dx: tumor invades rectal wall, mets to nearby lymph nodes
10/20/16 pet scan, rectal ultrasound, liver biopsy confirm; genetics: not Lynch Syndrome
10/31/16 FOLFOX(+48hr 5FU pump) 6 cycles, neutropenia after cycle 1: neulasta added
2/15/17 Symptoms: fatigue, mild nausea, belly cramps, metallic taste
3/14/17 Resection of metastasis from liver
4/20/17 Radiation therapy to rectal tumor and nodes +Xeloda (SE in wks 4-6: diarrhea, burning)
7/18/17 Resection of rectal tumor and ileostomy
7/31/17 Oral Xeloda for home chemotherapy
3/15/18 No evidence of cancer (NED) after two CT scans
6/8/18 NED after sigmoidoscopy
